- K.Jacques
has been created in 1933 by Mr and Mrs Jacques Kéklikian
in a small shop situated at the number 25 rue Allard in St Tropez.
This shop also used to serve as the sandals' workshop. Their were
made to measure for each customer, very often for famous personalities
on holidays in St Tropez.
Today the firm is still a family business and has three sales outlets
in St Tropez as well as a showroom shop with a press office at the
number 16 rue Pavée in the Marais quarter, in Paris (4°).
Exportations represent 50% of the firm's turnover.

"…Kéklikian's spartiates tropéziennes now
roam about the world. In spite of the whims of fashion, we will
always come back to those basic, simple and authentic things we
like to keep and wear for a long time."
The
tropezienne sandals are as essential as a pair of jeans or a white
T-Shirt. No wonder we like them so much.
They were exactly the same in the 30's, when this Armenian refugee
had to settle in a small shoemaker's workshop in rue Allard.
Since then, thanks to his three children, those famous tropeziennes
have been around the world!
Even if the address has remained the same, the workshop has had
"babies" and those irresistible sandals that were born
there are now sold in Italy, Germany, England, Belgium, Holland,
Switzerland, the West Indies, the USA, Australia, Japan…and
now, thanks to the international fashion magazines, everybody
know them…
The opening of a showroom and a shop in Paris allowed us to offer
a showcase of the mark's new creations to everybody during the
whole year.
And the most classical to the trendiest fashion designers know
this. For the last few years, they have combined their talent
with the Kéklikian family's expertise and imagination.
